• The Mount Pearl Youth Action Team is a youth-led group working for the betterment of all young people in the City. They meet once a month in a friendly, relaxed setting. If you're between the ages of 13 and 20 drop them a line:

  • M.A.C.Y. is an excellent means for youth to "have a voice" and be heard in the City of St. John's. As a Committee of the City Council, M.A.C.Y. provides a direct link between youth, youth serving agencies and the City Council.

  • The Youth Advisory Council is designed to engage the Youth (ages 13-21) of Conception Bay South and promote volunteering within their community. Through this they will also gain valuable organizational and teamwork skills in assisting with and developing new events for the Town.

  • InvolveYouth2 is a practical manual which draws on the experience of youth workers and other experts. It provides strategies on how organizations can engage young people by creating welcoming environments, supporting youth to make decisions and designing meaningful youth program activities and approaches.

  • As part of the Youth Engagement Strategy, Community Recreation Services, in partnership with HeartWood Centre for Community Youth Development, has compiled a "tool kit" or hands-on resource filled with lots of tools, concepts, ideas, suggestions for action, strategies for innovation and tips/reminders to help adults engage young people.
